Laser Guided Docking + SLAM
The docking process is quite impressive, but in short, it fuses a combination of laser sensors, wheel rotations and map data to locate and dock at the charger. No user interaction is required, fully autonomous.
Chapo Charging Cycles
Super Fast Charge | Fast Charge | Moderate Charge | Slow Charge
Chapo Charging Cycles are dependant on recent battery discharge patterns. If your robot has a very low battery it is probable the power management system will select a Fast Charge Cycle unless, its last charge was a fast charge or, unless the battery has a scheduled pulse repair charge job waiting to be completed.
Battery Management
Lithium Ion cells need to be managed properly. Not only is Chapo monitoring the battery level but so too is the charger. Once the battery has reached the optimum level for the cycle it will automatically stop. Failing to do so, the built-in BMS will disconnect the battery from every external source, known as battery isolation.
